Time Flies....

8 years. That's how long it's been since I last had a website. The year? 2012. At that time the world was much different. But you know that. Then, I was the dad to a 3-year old and baby twins. Now I'm a dad to an 11-year old and 8-year-olds. Even I'm no longer that younger self. Today, I'm a little more grayer in the beard and little less hair on top. Even started wearing readers, because I can't read anything up close. Age does that. Time does that to be funny.

But all the while I never stopped writing. From then to now, I received my MFA in Writing Popular Fiction from Seton Hill University. I've written two novels, and many, many short stories. Some published. Some sit in a box for another time. Some will never see the light of day. In that time I have had 3 back surgeries (3 between the years of 2011-2017). But most of that time was spent being a Dad. Dropping off and picking up from schools. Helping with school work. Helping out at the schools themselves when they needed help. Reading to classes. Being a lunch helper. Teaching 12 one-hour writing classes to over 600 kids. Life stuff, you know?

So what now? I'm outlining a Hitchcockian psychological thriller novel. While writing that one I will outline a YA cross-country thriller to be written next, with a YA science fiction novel after. I'm also waiting to hear back on several short stories that are with publishers and editors. One story is a go, but won't be out until Summer of 2021. I would like to fit in a full-length screenplay I've had in mind for years. A comedy. And recently I was brought on board to be the Interviewer for Weird Tales Magazine's website. And I'm looking to do more.

I don't plan on having an 8 year gap again. This website will be up for a long time even though it may change its stripes from time to time, because change is a good thing and it'll give the site a refreshing look. And of course more tabs, videos, freebies, pictures, et cetera, will be added often. I want this site to look fun and be fun. For you, and me.

I'll be blogging about being a Dad to three kids in the new dawn of Pandemia. About writing. Successes. Failures. Advice. Pop Culture. And any suggestions from you. Will hopefully have video readings. Guest bloggers. And much more. Also, if you want to stay in the loop even further then make sure to join my newsletter -- here ---> Shouting Above the Voices to get news, and be a part of contests, giveaways, and hear first about projects.

Until next time. Stay safe. Stay positive. Stay you.
